Established in 1974, the Coltrane LIFE (Living Interest for the Elderly) Center, the only adult day health services program in Cabarrus County, helps older and disabled adults continue to live at home rather than be placed in a nursing home. Serving Concord, Kannapolis, and surrounding cities and counties, the Center, provides quality daytime health care services and meaningful recreational and socialization activities in a home-like setting Monday through Friday. The Center, a private, non-profit organization, provides transportation, nutritious meals, health monitoring, medication administration, beauty shop and podiatry services, and assistance with personal care needs. These services enable family caregivers to work, run errands, relax, or tend to other matters during the day without worrying about the safety and care of their loved ones.
